  • June 2016: Nancy provided a special training for the Nevada Supreme Court’s Settlement Conference Judges in Las Vegas, NV.
  • June 2014 – Ann completed the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution’s (ECR) foundational course in ECR.
  • May 2014 – Nancy presented a program on ethics at the Montana Mediation Association’s Annual Conference in Missoula.
  • April 2014 – Ann participated in the Geology Panel at the National Association of Environmental Professionals annual conference in St. Petersburg, Florida, presenting Tips for Avoiding Fractious Relationships in Fracking Projects: The Benefits of Partnering and a Checklist of Considerations.
  • April 2014 – Nancy was honored by the National Judicial College for serving as faculty for 20 years, where she teaches Civil Mediation, Advanced Mediation and how to Evaluate Court-Connected ADR Programs. Nancy also presented a special skills based program to Nevada District Judges at their Annual Conference.
  • March 2014 – Nancy designed, When Mediation Ethics and Confidentiality Collide, which was presented at the ADRNC Annual Conference.
  • February 2014 – Our mediators were recognized for service by the Santa Clara County Superior Court at its annual reception for mediation services to the Court. Nancy was recognized for contributions as a member of the Court’s ADR Advisory Committee.
  • January 2014 – Carol was appointed Supreme Court Settlement Judge in the Supreme Court of Nevada.
  • January 2014 – Nancy was certified as an Appellate Trainer for the Florida Supreme Court. She is one of only six trainers to receive this designation.
  • November 2013 – Nancy worked with mediators from Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Los Altos on how to improve case management techniques.
  • October 2013 – Ann participated in a student-hosted Fossil Free Yale panel on proposed divestment by posing a range of generic stakeholder interests and needs that would likely need to be mediated over time whenever a shift in resources occurs.
  • October 2013 -Nancy co-authored an article, Mediation Confidentiality: A Malpractice Exception or Not? An Ethical Issue Either Way, for Plaintiff Magazine. Click on “Articles” to read a copy.
  • September 2013 – Nancy made a presentation to members of the Court of Appeal, Third District, Mediation Program on Ethical Challenges.
  • August 2013 – Ann and Nancy made a presentation at the ABA meeting in San Francisco to members of the National Association of Bar Executives on the Art of Dealing with Difficult Leaders.

Community Involvement

  • Carol Millie is a member of the Board of Trustees of Ventana School, a Reggio-Emilia inspired preschool through elementary located in Los Altos, California.
