photo-carolCarol Webster Millie has been an attorney and ADR provider for over 30 years and has successfully helped resolve conflicts in business, industry, and government, prior to, during and after litigation was filed.

She understands business from the shop floor to the boardroom, and her natural mediation style enables the parties to use their own knowledge of the facts to find an acceptable resolution of their conflict. She has broad background in business cycle generated conflict including contract performance issues and reductions in force.

In many contract cases including: construction, real estate, matters involving formation, performance and breach; intellectual property including theft of trade secrets, ownership disputes and unfair competition; professional malpractice; public and private employment matters including police, fire, age, sex, and racial harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination.

carol-overlapCarol’s ADR services include those of arbitrator, early neutral evaluator, facilitator, and mediator. She has extensive training in mediation and arbitration, and has lectured for various groups including the State Bar of California and Employment Law Institute for Corporate Counsel.

She is a licensed attorney in California and Texas. In 1997, she co-founded Corporate Advisory Law Group to offer strategic counseling to emerging technology companies.

Through the provision of real-time advice on managing business crises, Carol has developed a command of the practical realities of business. In 2001 Carol co-founded Silicon Valley Mediation Group and currently serves as managing partner.

Serving on the AAA Arbitration Panel since 1977, she is a member of the Construction Division and also hears cases with the Employment and Commercial Division Panels. She is a member of the mediation panel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and of panels in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties
