Michael Kasperzak, an attorney for more than 20 years, has limited his practice to business mediation and dispute resolution since 1993. He was drawn to mediation by its collaborative problem solving approach and his desire to offer clients the highest quality dispute resolution services at a good value.

Mike enjoys bringing parties together to create a "win-win" solution, rather than engaging in an adversarial, costly and time consuming legal proceeding. His experience spans a range of areas and industries. These include personal injury, employment, real estate, construction, insurance, aviation, public agency and contracts. A member of several Superior and District Court mediation panels, Mike also mediates for the EEOC, NASD and the State of California Department of Insurance.

A frequent speaker on mediation and related subjects, Mike has presented before a variety of industry trade groups, civic and non-profit organizations. He is a frequent mediation trainer for Stanford and Santa Clara Universities and Santa Clara County. He has also written numerous papers and articles on topics involving mediation and conflict resolution, including: Building Agreement Through Alternate Dispute Resolution, Using Mediation to Reduce Litigation Costs, and Developing an Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice.

Mike is the founder of Mountain View based Dispute Resolution Specialists, which has been providing alternative dispute resolution solution services to the business and legal community for more than ten years. Prior to that he was a partner at Bronson, Bronson & McKinnon, where he focused on personal injury defense litigation.

Mike earned his BA degree from Lewis & Clark College and his law degree from Hastings College of Law. He has completed a wide variety of additional training in mediation and related areas, through Alternative Dispute Resolution Associates (ADRA), the American Association of Attorney-Mediators and the U.S. District Court.

In addition to his involvement in professional mediation associations, Mike is involved in numerous civic, non-profit and other activities. He has served as the Mayor of the City of Mountain View, and has served on the Mountain View City Council since 1999. He is involved with the American Red Cross, working with both National Headquarters and the Palo Alto Chapter, where he was the Chairman of the Board and honored for his service with the Clara Barton Award for Outstanding Volunteer Leadership.

Mike also holds a commercial pilots license; he has been flying for more than 20 years.
