Agreement to Mediate
This document is used when scheduling a mediation, and we want all participants to have an opportunity to read the SVMG Agreement to Mediate in advance. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Confidentiality Agreement 
Mediation is a confidential process, and we want all participants to have an opportunity to read the SVMG Confidentiality Agreement in advance of the mediation. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Ethical Practices and Professional Standards 
All SVMG mediators are professionally trained, have many years of experience, and subscribe to the highest standards for professional conduct. I will resend this document to correct indenting issues.

  • June 2013 - Nancy had an article published in Plaintiff Magazine on including an expert in mediation. For the complete copy, please see Articles on this page.
  • April 2013 - Nancy taught a 40-hour Civil Mediation course at the National Judicial College for state and federal judges.
  • March 2013 - SVMG was featured in Mission Trail Waste Management's quarterly newsletter for participating in their Green Business Program. Click here to see the Newsletter.
  • February 2013 - Nancy presented a workshop on How to Deal with High Emotion Cases to mediators, who handle community cases for the cities of Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Los Altos. 
  • January 2013 - Nancy had an article printed in Plaintiff Magazine on communication skills that may help attorneys. Click on articles to read the entire article.
  • December 2012 - Nancy presented a NACVA Webinar, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, on benefits of using experts in mediation.
  • December 2012 - Mike was elected to the Board of Directors of the National League of Cities.
  • November 2012 - Mike was re-elected to Mountain View City Council for a for a fourth term.
  • October 2012 - Nancy taught Advanced Mediation in Chicago, which was co-sponsored by the ABA and National Judicial College.
  • September 2012 - Nancy wrote, "Beware the 'Hallelujah!' Mediator", for Plaintiff Magazine.
  • August 2012 - Nancy's article, "Mediation Confidentiality: Can There be too Much", appeared in Case in Point.

Community Involvement

  • Carol Millie is working with Ventana School which is a growing Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary school that offers instruction in the Reggio Emillia approach.
  • Mike Kasperzak is the former Vice Mayor and Mayor of Mountain View. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National League of Cities.
  • Nancy Yeend volunteers for the Peninsula Humane Society's Wildlife Rescue Education Team, helping children understand how to coexist with wild animals that live in our community. She recently presented a program on South African Penguins to members of the Avenidas.
